Since the earlier posts have been lost to the ravages of background material, pictures and meet the DM’s, I thought i’d re-iterate the core information about the Drowathon.
The Drowathon is a free event for new and existing players to Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Its is being run on Saturday 12th May at Mondo Comico on Heathcoat Street in Nottingham. Games are due to start by 11am and will run thouroughout the day with a view to finishing by 4pm so we can adjourn to the nearby Pitcher and Piano to have some food and drink.
The games on the day will be The Sun Never Rises, which starts the whole Rise of the Underdark storyline, and the first session of the Web of the Spider Queen encounters season. We will be using the provided pre-gens for this event, which have additional background material to help you roleplay them.
All players will get a free drow mini, and if you kill the most drow during the day, you win the War of the Spider Queen Volume 1 anthology. In addition, if we raise enough money, we’ll raffle off a mystery prize. The final incentive is that successfully completing the first adventure gives you a piece of treasure that will aid in the Encounters season.
